Collection: All Sapphire

Stone of Wisdom, Stone of Queens and Kings

Sapphire has been revered for centuries as a gemstone of wisdom, loyalty, and divine beauty. Once believed to protect royals and clergy alike, it remains one of the most treasured gems in history – the stone of queens and kings.

What makes Sapphire unique

Belonging to the corundum family, Sapphire ranks among the most valuable gemstones in the world. With a Mohs hardness of 9, it is second only to Diamond in durability, ensuring both timeless beauty and strength. Red corundum is classified as Ruby, while all other colors are known as Sapphire.

A spectrum beyond blue

Though Sapphire is most often associated with the color blue, its spectrum extends far beyond. From yellow and green to pink, violet, and even colorless Leuco Sapphire, each hue carries its own allure. The rarest of all is the Padparadscha Sapphire, glowing in lotus-flower shades of pink-orange – a true gemological treasure.

Origins and our heritage

At Siam Gems Club, Sapphire is more than a gem – it is part of our roots. Many of our stones come from Thailand’s legendary gem regions such as Chanthaburi, Bo Rai, and Bangkaja, where trading and cutting have been practiced for generations. Alongside these local treasures, we also source carefully from Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Australia, and select mines in Africa, always with close attention to quality and authenticity.

Symbolism and legacy

Across cultures, Sapphire has symbolized truth, nobility, and devotion. From ancient Persia, where the sky was believed to rest on a giant Sapphire, to modern crowns and engagement rings, this gem has carried an aura of prestige and protection. In spiritual traditions, it is thought to bring clarity of mind, focus, and serenity.
